The hunt runs before I wake up
Every morning a discovery loop hunts the news, the web, and the public record for signal I defined, grades what it finds, maps the warm path to the right person, and drafts the note. Nothing sends without me. Here is the architecture.
Business development used to be a mood. Some weeks you prospect, some weeks you build, and the market does not care which week it is. The moment that mattered usually happened while you were heads down.
So I turned it into a loop. Every morning, before I am up, a discovery agent hunts the news, the web, and the public record for signal I defined. Discovery finds the moment. Curation grades it. The network layer finds the person. Drafting writes the words. And all of it lands as a brief waiting for my approval.
Wide and free, then narrow and paid
The funnel has two tiers on purpose. The wide tier is free: public feeds, cast broadly, near real time. The narrow tier is paid search, spent only where the free tier says there is something worth a closer look. Everything merges into one stream, dedupes against what the loop has already seen, and gets scored against the signal terms for that hunt. Only the finds that clear the bar earn a screenshot and a summary. Credits chase value, never volume.
The relevance eval is the product
Each hunt is a small config file, and the most important line in it is a paragraph of plain English: what counts as signal for this hunt, and what does not. That paragraph is the eval. Every raw find gets judged against it, and the junk dies there. An empty day is a valid result. The loop does not pad, because a feed that pads is a feed you stop trusting.
And the grading does not stop at collection. Outcomes feed back in: a find that turned into a reply or a meeting counts as a double-weight good grade on the next run, and silence counts as a mild bad one. The loop learns what a good catch looks like from what actually happened, not from what looked exciting.
The brief is the gate
What reaches me is a brief, not a firehose: the signal, the institution it touches, the warm path to a person, and a draft in my voice. I approve, skip, or rewrite. Nothing ever sends automatically. That is not a setting. It is the first clause of the constitution the system is built on.
Two more lines the loop will not cross: it deals in names and roles, never in harvested contact details, and it never scrapes the walled platforms. The signal is in the public record. The relationship work stays human.
It files to the brain
Every day’s catch lands on a rolling page in the vault, linked to the projects and people it touches. That is the part that separates a hunt from a feed. A feed is consumed and forgotten. A hunt compounds: this morning’s find sits next to everything the brain already knows about that market, and next month’s question starts from both.
This is the Discovery canvas in One Ghost, many canvases, and it runs on the same spine as everything else here: bounded, graded, gated, and compounding. The machine underneath is The Loop Is the Product.
Discovery finds the moment. The eval grades it. The human sends it.
